   Hi all

I quickly introduced myself a while back so thought now is the time to tell the truth about myself.

I am ashamed to admit that I have a drinking problem and realise that is what I use for an escape because I do not have RL in my life and to tell you the truth Im pretty sure the minimal people that I do have in my life would not be open to this sort of thing so I guess for now this would be the only place for me to experience it.

Im definitely not happy at the moment as I am disappointed in how my life has turned out, and more specifically the breakup of my marriage and family and I realise that it is because of my GPB's that caused it.

I have watched the dvd's and to be honest Im really stuck as where to go from there.  Im a private person and do not see myself sharing any of this RL stuff to what little friends I have as I am afraid they will judge me.

Im pretty lost at the moment and am very scared of the future.  Im not even sure if this is suppose to be what I post so apologies if Im getting this wrong.

	HI True, Welcome!!! You did fine here and YOU are Loved & accepted for WHO you are, not what you've done or failed to do in your past. Main thing is, you're here and willing to learn and grow towards becoming more peaceful, loving & happy. Let that information reach your heart before you attempt to do anything else. It really is worth experiencing. You're worth listening to, and I hope you can feel the love that I am sending your way. 	Hi True. Good for you for deciding to speak out. It is understandable that you feel afraid of the future and isolating is pretty common with alcoholism. All addictions are caused by the pain of not feeling loved and there are many actions you can take, starting now. You do have choices, although may not like all of them. If you are suffering from an addiction to alcohol, that needs to be addressed, perhaps in rehab or in a 12-Step Program. And all addictions will try to convince you that stopping is more painful than continuing. Don't listen! I'd suggest that you go to the Daily Coaching Archive and watch the three sessions entitled "How Can I Stop My Father From Drinking Around Me" (Week 64). Being "a private person" is like being shy, and is a form of running. I can guarantee that you will not feel more loved while you sit alone in your house. There are many free conference calls you can participate in; there is a schedule of the current calls on the Home Page. I host one on Thursday evenings. 	Hi True. Are you still reading about Real Love? Are you still having a problem with drinking or with quitting? I understand that it's not helpful to demand for you to do more than you are able at the time. As Greg says in his PCSD book, "it's possible to work on feeling loved--treating your PCSD--at the same time that we talk about your leaving alcohol and drugs behind you. The more loved you feel, the less need you'll have to drink or use drugs." Even so, only you can take the steps that are necessary to connect with those who have love to give. 	Oh honey, You're so lovable. You have no idea how lovable you are. And I'm SO VERY glad that you've told the truth about yourself. We ALL need to be able to do that True. It's a lonely place when you're in hiding. I'm just plain tickled for you that you have told us about your drinking problem. Goodness, you, like me and most everyone else here, were and ARE doing the best that we can. When you have no clue about Real Love, what it is, what it feels like you WILL do whatever it takes to stop the pain even if it's just temporary relief. So listen, you're not alone anymore okay? I so love you and I understand your fears. And you can get this wrong all day long and night, it doesn't matter. Whether or not your friends will judge you is up for grabs. Who knows? But I AM NOT judging you, so talk to me, okay? You're safe. Where you go from here is that you keep watching the DVD's, jump on the conference calls even if you just listen in for bit, consider hiring a coach. Read Real Love, keep posting here. If you can get to Phoenix this coming weekend for the Real Love conference, there's that too. I'm sure that there are other things too and whatever I've missed someone else will probably fill in.
